Privacy Policy

Align Hers is operated by Align Hers LLC, Route 31, Verona, NY 13476 ("Align Hers," "we," "us"). This policy covers alignhers.com and the Align Hers mobile app (the "Services").

The Services are intended for adults 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact privacy@alignhers.com and we will delete it.

We collect information you provide, information generated when you use the Services, and information from sources you choose to connect:

• Account details: name, email, password (stored hashed), date of birth, preferences.
• Health and wellness logs you enter (described below).
• Purchase, waitlist, and contact-form information.
• Technical and device information.

If you choose to log it, we process menstrual-cycle dates, flow, symptoms, basal body temperature, mood, energy, sleep, libido, weight, fertility/trying-to-conceive information, pregnancy and postpartum details, and perimenopause/menopause information. This is consumer health data. We use it only to provide the features you request and as described in our Consumer Health Data Notice.

Foods, meals, recipes, custom foods, calorie and macronutrient entries, and barcode lookups you perform. Food information may come from third-party databases.

Workouts, programs, exercise history, steps, and activity minutes you log or import.

If you grant permission, we may read data from Apple Health, Google Health Connect, or supported wearables. We only access the categories you authorize, and you can revoke access at any time in your device settings. Data received from Apple HealthKit is not used for advertising or sold.

With your permission, the app uses your camera to scan barcodes or photograph meals for food recognition, and to upload optional review photos. We do not access your camera or photo library without permission.

Subscriptions are processed by Apple or Google. We receive subscription status, plan, and renewal information — not your full payment card details.

IP address, device type, operating system, app version, crash logs, and basic usage data needed to keep the Services secure and working.

• Provide tracking, predictions, recipes, workouts, and personalization.
• Maintain your account and process subscriptions.
• Respond to support requests and send service messages.
• Secure, debug, and improve the Services.
• Comply with legal obligations.

Some features, such as food-photo calorie and macro estimates and automated wellness insights, use automated processing. Outputs may be incomplete or inaccurate, should be reviewed by you, and are not medical advice.

Food-photo analysis

If you choose to analyze a meal photo, Align Hers sends the image through our Firebase backend to OpenAI to identify visible foods and estimate portions. Before sending the image to OpenAI, our backend resizes and re-encodes it, removing embedded EXIF metadata. We use the resulting food descriptions to look up nutrition information in USDA FoodData Central. Photo-based results are estimates; review and correct the foods, portions, and nutrition information before using them in your meal log.

We use vendors for hosting, databases, authentication, email delivery, e-commerce, subscription management, food data, and crash reporting. They may process data only on our instructions and under confidentiality obligations.

Health integration data is used solely to provide health and fitness features to you. It is not shared with advertisers or data brokers.

We share information with service providers as described above, when you direct us to, to comply with law or valid legal process, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger or acquisition subject to this policy.

Align Hers does not sell reproductive-health data, menstrual-cycle data, fertility data, pregnancy data, symptom logs or other consumer health data for targeted advertising.

We keep information while your account is active and as needed to provide the Services. After account deletion, we delete or de-identify personal data, except where limited retention is required by law, for security, or in backups that expire on a rolling schedule.

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level data protections. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password.

You may request to access, correct, download, or delete your information, and withdraw consent for health data processing. Use Privacy Choices or email privacy@alignhers.com. We will verify your identity before acting.

Delete your account in the app at Profile > Settings > Account > Delete Account, or see Delete Account. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription.

Residents of states such as Washington (My Health My Data Act), Nevada, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and others may have additional rights, including the right to appeal a denied request. See our Consumer Health Data Notice.

The Services are operated from the United States. If you access them from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the United States.

We will post updates here and revise the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated in the app or by email.
